Care & Maintenance

Major corporations throughout the world find EnviroLeather™ to be easy to care for, resulting in years of comfort and enjoyment after installation. We have created this section of the website as a platform to share best practices for end users to care for and maintain EnviroLeather™.

Cleaning Instructions

EnviroLeather™ has a superior, stain resistant, durable finish. It is designed for easy care and cleaning. The high tech polymer formulation also provides excellent chemical resistance. To maximize the lifespan of your material it is recommended that a regular cleaning schedule be maintained to keep the surface free from dirt and debris. Vacuuming or light brushing is recommended to prevent dust and soil buildup. Spills and stains should be cleaned as soon as possible. Avoid saturation with liquids. Remove any remaining cleaning, or disinfectant solution with a cloth and clean water. Then, dry the surface thoroughly. Use a soft lint-free cloth or towel and avoid steel wool and cleaners containing abrasives.

Always try cleaning method in a hidden area first to determine result. See our Chemical Resistance Data Chart on this website for information on other cleaners and disinfectants.

Are there approved cleaners and disinfectants?

We have established a cleaning and disinfecting protocol that we recommend above in the cleaning instructions section if you do not have your own internal process.

Please download our Chemical Resistance Data Guide.

Our testing is conducted in a controlled test environment. It may not correlate with facility use conditions, as it is difficult to duplicate the effect of multiple cleanings per day over a period of several years. Cleaning methods & protocols, direct exposure to heat and sunlight along with how the furniture is being used, create variables that could affect performance over time. The cleaning agent supplier should be consulted to determine appropriateness for specific applications. All cleaning label instructions and precautions should be followed. Therefore, this chart is only a reference guide for the selection of appropriate cleaning products. It is not a recommendation, or approval, for any specific cleaner or cleaning method. We offer these results along with our assurance that the formulation of EnviroLeather™ exhibits superior chemical resistance compared to most faux leathers and has proven to hold up well in 99% of applications.

Stain Resistance Information

In general, EnviroLeather™ has very good stain resistance and stains can be easily removed. Removal is dependent upon color of the material, length of exposure and severity of staining. With any material, the sooner you are able to get to a stain the better chances you have of removing it. Thus, we cannot warranty against staining, but we can give you some honest information to work with.

Please refer to our Stain Resistance Data Guide. If you are concerned about stains, whether it is on the list above or not, we suggest testing it before purchase.
